Morocco’s challenge in the ICT sector for the coming years is to enable the country’s integration into the global economy knowledge, through an integration broadened and widely disseminated of IT within all levels and actors of society: states, administrations, companies, and citizens.
A new vision for technological advancement, “Digital Morocco 2020” has been developed in a participatory approach that aimed to reduce the digital divide by 50%, “digitizing” 50% of administrative procedures, equipping and connecting 20% of SMEs, and training 30,000 IT professionals.

Simplon has opened in Youssoufia, Morocco, in October 2018 its first “YouCode” training center, with 110 trainees in Web & Mobile Development. The first cohort has been launched in partnership with the OCP (Office Chérifien de Phosphates). As a result of this success, two new cohorts of 110 trainees each started their training programs in October 2019 respectively in Youssoufia and Safi. Simplon has further expanded its network of digital training centers with 60 new trainees in Web & Mobile Development scheduled to begin soon. SoliCode is created in partnership with the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
